Water Box — Privacy Policy

Water Box is a hydration logging and visualization app for iOS and Android by Hydrate Lab. This policy explains what data the app and its backend services process when you use it.

What data we process

• Stored only on your device: hydration records, daily goals, selected scenes, studio settings, scene text, and app preferences. Hydration records are never uploaded.
• iOS (App Store) version: the current App Store version has no account sign-in and no in-app purchases, so all data stays on your device and nothing is transmitted off the device.
• If you sign in with Google (Android version): Water Box receives your Google account identifier, name, email address, and avatar. A sign-in session and your membership status are stored on Hydrate Lab's backend server (a Cloudflare Worker with D1 storage).
• Membership purchases (Android version): purchase and subscription status is processed to restore purchases and keep membership entitlements in sync.

Third-party services

• Google Sign-In (Android version) provides account authentication.
• Google Play Billing (Android version) processes all subscription payments. Water Box never sees or stores complete card details.
• RevenueCat (Android version) reads offering, purchase, restore, and subscription verification events.
• Cloudflare (Worker + D1) hosts the membership API that stores sign-in sessions and rebuildable membership snapshots.
• Apple: the current iOS version contains no sign-in and no in-app purchases, so no data is processed through Apple. If sign-in or purchases are introduced on iOS, payments would be processed by Apple and this policy will be updated first.

There are no ads, no behavioral analytics, and no crash-reporting SDKs in Water Box.

Deletion and controls

• Local data: hydration records and all other local data can be removed at any time. On Android: system Settings → Apps → Water Box → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. On iOS: remove the app (long-press its icon → Remove App → Delete App).
• Google Play subscription: manage or cancel it in Google Play subscription settings; uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Server account and sign-in data: you can request deletion of your server-side account (session, membership snapshot, and the Google account identifier, name, email, and avatar associated with it) at any time — see Account Deletion.
